Workplace Wellbeing Day takes place across Ireland on Friday 26th April and business group Ibec is encouraging employers everywhere to get involved.
Workplace Wellbeing Day represents an opportunity for organisations to rebalance and refocus on the things that benefit their employees’ mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. It also provides them with the chance to demonstrate all that they are already doing to help workers thrive.
Over the course of the last decade, Workplace Wellbeing Day has seen continued growth in engagement, with up to 1,000 businesses now taking part annually.
Inspire is calling on all of its customers to mark the day. According to research, organisations that embrace employee wellbeing are more productive, experiencing better morale and reduced absenteeism. There are lots of ways to participate. You can get out into the fresh air for some exercise by organising a sports initiative, such as a lunchtime 5k, or setting up a gratitude wall, where staff members can share positive thoughts and messages of appreciation for their teammates. Organising access to medical and nutritional advice, along with training for mindfulness and meditation, is a good start, too.
Healthy workplaces focus on safe, respectful spaces. They create opportunities for colleagues to learn, grow and develop, all while encouraging and facilitating good lifestyle choices.
The Inspire Support Hub is the go-to destination for workplace wellbeing. It’s home to an array of self-help toolkits and resources relating to various topics, from stress and anxiety to remote working and resilience.
In addition, people can self-refer for counselling through the Hub, over the phone or by email.
